The Wool
This isn’t just packaging — it’s a resource. Every parcel you receive from us is lined with pure New Zealand wool, sourced from Rita at Sustaina Grow. It’s 100% natural, sustainable, reusable, and compostable.
Wool is an incredible material — it insulates, absorbs moisture, suppresses weeds, and eventually returns to the soil as organic matter. Please don’t throw it away — this is a bonus for you and your garden!
How to Use It
Weed Matting
Lay the wool around trees or over veggie beds. It suppresses weeds, locks in moisture, and slowly feeds the soil as it breaks down.
Composting
Tear it up and add it to your compost. Wool is rich in nitrogen, so it helps balance out carbon-heavy materials like dry leaves or cardboard.
Mulching
Place it around the base of plants to protect roots, keep soil warm in winter, and cool in summer.
Propagation & Planting
Use wool as a natural liner in pots or seed trays. It helps hold moisture while roots establish.
Creative Uses
Get inventive — wrap it around wine bottles for transport, use it as insulation in chilly bins, or line a basket.
